MEA, Mennonite Church USA, and Mennonite Schools

Mennonite Education Agency is one of five agencies that make up Mennonite Church USA. MEA works in collaboration with the other Mennonite Church USA agencies, upholds the Confession of Faith from a Mennonite Perspective, and is a participant in the Purposeful Plan.

MEA Resources

  • In partnership with MSC, MEA produces the Encounter curriculum, an Anabaptist faith formation curriculum, designed for classroom use.
  • Detectives of Divinity is a Spanish-language resource for local churches available through the MEA-Hispanic Ministries website.
  • MEA provides logistical support for the Mennonite Educators Conference.
  • MEA operates the Mennonite Learning Network, an online classroom platform.
  • MEA compiles the annual Enrollment Report from member schools and youth census data on Mennonite Church USA youth in congregations.
  • MEA gives financial oversight and support for the MEA Investment Fund LLC and the Congregational Giving programs.​​​​​​​​
  • MEA sponsors the Mennonite Educators Benefit Plan, a self-funded health insurance plan that values mutual aid to share claim risks.
