MEA, Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Schools
Mennonite Education Agency is one of five agencies that make up Mennonite Church USA. Eleven of the twelve MEA board members are appointed by Mennonite Church USA Executive Board or the Delegate Assembly.
MEA works in collaboration with other Mennonite Church USA agencies, upholds the Confession of Faith from a Mennonite Perspective and is a participant in the Purposeful Plan.
To ensure quality Anabaptist Mennonite education is available MEA provides oversight and services to:
Hispanic Ministries (HM)
HM provides training for Hispanic Mennonites and is made up of:
Biblical and theological education in Spanish for Hispanic lay leaders
Ministerial education at the undergraduate level
A monthly Spanish e-zine
MEA with MSC provides educational resources designed for classroom use.
Professional development/continuing education opportunities are provided for Mennonite educators, boards and leadership by way of events, conferences, parternships and running the Mennonite Learning Network, an online classroom platform.
MEA collects and compiles enrollment data from member schools and youth census information on Mennonite Church USA youth in congregations.
MEA gives financial oversight and support for the MEA Investment Fund LLC and the Congregational Giving programs.
