Board to Board Relations

MEA has formal ties to the Mennonite higher education institutions through each institution’s bylaws. The bylaws guide the relationship between MEA’s board and the institutional board. Bylaws are designed to maintain strong connections between Mennonite Church USA and the institutions while enabling the institutions to strengthen their overall mission. The bylaws inform how MEA:

• Affirms or appoints a specified number of board members to the institutions,
• Assists institutions as they conduct presidential reviews and presidential searches,
• Meets and consults with institutional leadership.
