Goshen College alumnus Joel Jimenez ’01 was recently honored as Backline Technician of the Year at the Country Music Association Touring Awards for his exceptional work as backline crew chief and guitar tech for renowned country music artist Thomas Rhett.
“This award is a huge honor, and even being nominated in the first year of the category would have been far beyond my expectations,” said Jimenez, who was born and raised in Costa Rica and currently resides in Franklin, Tennessee. “I don’t do my job for a pat on the back, I do it because I love it.”
