The fifth grade curriculum, God is Present on the Way, is a lesson in the history of salvation. Salvation history is defined as the concept that biblical faith does not need rituals and techniques to gain salvation. Instead, biblical faith offers hope in the face of human evil, because God seeks out humankind. God has saved God's people from destruction. Throughout the year, by exploring stories of faith, obedience, disobedience and repentance, students will learn about God's acts of grace. Through study of the stories of God's people and of God's faithfulness and providence, students will come to understand God's work in their world and lives today.
