MEA's mission is to strengthen Mennonite education for restorative leadership, work, and service throughout the church and the world.

MEA works in collaboration with other Mennonite Church USA agencies and upholds the Confession of Faith from a Mennonite Perspective, the Shared Convictions of Mennonite World Conference, and the other documents on faith and life of the church adopted by the Delegate Assembly and the Executive Board of Mennonite Church USA. 

MEA operates Hispanic Ministries, which provide biblical and theological training in Spanish.

  • Seminario Bíblico Anabautista Hispano (SEBAH), the Hispanic Anabaptist Biblical Seminary - Combines face-to-face and distance education using instructors remotely (via e-mail) and local mentors with the involvement of the regional conference ministers.

MEA relates to the six Mennonite colleges, universities, and seminaries (Mennonite Higher Education Association - MHEA) affiliated with Mennonite Church USA:
